ISO 20471 Class 2
EN ISO 20471 2013 specifies requirements for hi vis workwear clothing which is capable of visually signalling the user's presence. The hi vis workwear clothing is intended to provide visibility to the wearer in any light condition when viewed by operators of vehicles or other mechanized equipment during daylight conditions and under illumination of headlights in the dark.
The EN ISO 20471 2013 safety standards splits Hi Vis workwear types and groups them into three classes, with the classes dictating the minimum quantities of background and retro-reflective materials used.
CLASS 2 - Intermediate Protection Level of Hi Vis Workwear Clothing
Band of retro-reflective material shall not be less than 50mm wide.
Minimum background material 0.50m sq. Minimum retro-reflective material 0.13m sq.
